We synthesized single-crystal diamonds using microwave assisted plasma chemical vapor deposition and evaluated the temperature dependence of the diamond radiation detectors. We achieved charge collection efficiency of the hole of 96.9% with 3.0% energy resolution at 473 K. In the case of electrons. they became undetectable at temperatures higher than 373 K. It is possible that carrier trapping generated with frequency or the leakage current increased. The detector produced by the diamond in Diamond Detector Ltd. detector, operates normally at 523 K. Electrons can be measured at 573 K. We discussed the characteristics of charge carrier transport in the diamond detector to prepare for future use at higher temperatures. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V.
