Bi(OH)(3) nanoflakes are prepared by a facile one-step solvothermal approach. The product has a porous structure built up of many interconnected nanoflakes with a thickness of approximately 20 nm. Bi(OH)(3) nanoflakes deliver a specific capacitance of 888 F g(-1) at a current density of 1 A g(-1).
