A new isochoric reactor was commissioned for studying gas hydrate equilibrium formation, and experiments were carried out to measure the equilibrium Conditions for methane hydrate formation in aqueous solutions of CuSO4, KNO3, and MgSO4. The experimental conditions ranged from (273 to 281) K in temperature and between (3 and 6) MPa in pressure, and the mass fraction of salt ranged from (0.025 to 0.402), depending oil the salt. In the case of all three salts, it was observed that there was all inhibiting effect oil the hydrate formation, which is in contrast to a previous observation that found CuSO4 had a promoting effect on CO2 hydrates.
