Flavonoids from Galium verum L.

Two new flavonoids, compounds 1 and 2, together with seven known flavonoids, were isolated from Galium verum L. Their structures were elucidated as diosmetin 7-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-( 1-2)-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1) and 3,5,7, 30,40,300,500,700,3000,4000-decahydroxyl-[8-CH2-8 '']-biflavone (2) by chemical methods and spectroscopic analyses. Compounds 3 and 4 were isolated from the genus Galium for the first time.
