The dielectric properties between antiferroelectric (AFE) and ferroelectric (FE) states are obviously different. In our paper, The (Pb0.865La0.03Ba0.09)(Zr0.74Sn0.20Ti0.06)O-3 and (Pb0.805La0.03Ba0.15)(Zr0.74Sn0.20Ti0.06)O-3 ceramic compositions showing antiferroelectric (AFE) and ferroelectric (FE) states, respectively, were investigated concerning the non-linear electric field dependence of the dielectric permittivity (epsilon-E). The results have revealed quite different behaviors. The epsilon-E curves have exhibited a butterfly'' shape for the AFE state and the Curie temperature shifts to the lower temperature region with the increasing of the DC field, a quiet different behavior than that of the FE state. There are most effects on energy storage characteristic and electrocaloric in the future. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
