Compounds in the pseudo-binary CaSnO3/NaNbO3 system have been synthesized at 1350 degrees C in oxygen air. This sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction as well as dielectric measurements and Raman spectroscopy. Using the Rietveld refinement powder X-ray diffraction the crystal structure of CaSnO3/NaNbO3 was found at room temperature. These compounds crystallize at room temperature in tetragonal space group P4mm for x= 0.925 and in cubic group Pm3m for x= 0.895. The evolution of the Raman spectra was studied as a function of various compositions at room temperature. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
