The layered perovskite K2La2Ti3O10 photocatalysts have been successfully synthesized by soft hydrothermal method. The effects of hydrothermal temperature, reaction time, and KOH concentration on morphologies and sizes of the particle were investigated, and characterized by powder diffraction, UV-vis reflectance, and specific surface area measurements. The photocatalysts prepared by hydrothermal technique had a higher photocatalytic activity than that prepared by conventional solid state reaction method. (c) 2007 Published by Elsevier B.V.
