In the present study, the esterification of Cannabis indica fiber was carried out with benzoyl chloride. The raw as well as the esterified Cannabis indica fibers (with 10, 20, 30, and 40% particle loading) were subsequently used as reinforcement to prepare polyester matrix-based composites. The characterization of esterified fibers was done by FT-IR, TGA, and SEM techniques. The composites prepared were further subjected to evaluation for their mechanical, thermal, and physico-chemical properties.
