We investigate the effects of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions in nanofluid flow over a stretching or shrinking sheet placed in a porous medium saturated with a nanofluid. Copper-water and silver-water nanofluids are investigated in this study. The steady states of this system are analyzed in the case when the diffusion coefficients of the reactant and auto catalyst are equal. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations and solved numerically. An analytical solution for the momentum equation is obtained. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
