A novel non-autonomous continuous-time chaotic oscillator suitable for high-frequency integrated circuit realization is presented. Simulation and experimental results, verifying the circuit feasibility, are given. Two methods for using this oscillator as the core of a random number generator are also proposed. Numerical binary data obtained according to the proposed methods pass the four basic tests of FIPS-140-2, while experimental data pass the full NIST-800-22 random number test suite.
