Processcapability indices (PCIs) are extensively used statistical measures to assess process performance in manufacturing industry. In this paper, confidence intervals for the difference between PCIs for two processes are derived by the generalized pivotal quantity method. The indices C (pk) , C (pmk) , and C (pm) are considered in this study. The performance of the proposed method is assessed using simulation study. The results are also illustrated using an example from industrial contexts.
