By in-situ formation of the tetrazolate ligand, 5-(3-pyridyl)tetrazole (L'), two three-dimensional metal-organic frameworks [CuI(L')Na](n), (1) and [Cu3I2L'](n), (2), have been one-pot synthesized and constructed by the heterometallic cation cluster [Cu2I2Na2](2+) and [Cu6I4](2+) cluster as ten connected nodes, respectively.
