An innovative nanodevice for generating well-characterised vortices is proposed. The interesting aspect is that vortex forms in the prescribed nanostrip dimensions for a stable transverse wall by adding an antinotch. The chirality of the vortex can be controlled by adjusting the relative magnetisation directions in the antinotch and nanostrip, and the core polarity is controlled by a small field. The vortex size can be manipulated by the antinotch width. By placing a series of antinotches on a single nanostrip, vortices array can be created, which may have potential data storage applications.
