Wireless power transfer (WPT) has been receiving a considerable amount of interest recently. This paper presents a novel device with respect to WPT by using two transmitting resonant coils which are not in parallel to each other. It can change the path of power flow transferred by the device using vector control technology. An analytical model is developed to analyze the characteristics of vector control method used in the device. Electromagnetic simulation was contributed to illustrate the vector direction of power flow path, and a prototype is fabricated and tested. The experimental results show close agreement with the analytical results in trend. The power flow path of the device can vary in any direction by regulating the ratio zeta of current with both transmitting coil with phase shift theta = k pi and it can rotate with phase shift theta = (1/2 + k)pi.
