Flammeovirga pacifica WPAGA1(T), which was isolated from sediment of the west Pacific Ocean in 2009 has the ability to produce agar-oligosaccharides from Gracilaria lemaneiformis directly by enzyme-degradation. The draft genome sequence of this strain was sequenced and annotated. Its draft genome contained 6,507,364 bp with a G + C content of 33.8%. Genome sequence information provided a basis for analyzing the digestion of G. lemaneiformis. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
