Two new furofuran lignans, named kandelisesquilignan A and kandelisesquilignan B, were isolated from the aerial part of Kandelia obovata, together with seven known compounds beta-sitosterol, betulinic acid, daucosterol, friedelin, lupeol, apigenin and acacetin. Their structures were characterized on the basis of spectral data. The two new compounds showed significant antioxidant activity by the DPPH method (IC50 = 31.9 and 27.8 mu g/mL).
