Poster summary

Climate change is one of the most important driving forces significantly influencing the re-emergence of insect pests, which poses serious threats to global agriculture and food safety. Changes in atmospheric conditions, such as global temperature and rainfall, have markedly affected insect pest populations. These climatic shifts lead to expanded pest distribution, improved pest resilience to environmental conditions, and consequently, more frequent and severe pest invasions. This study examines how climate factors contribute to the resurgence of insect pests. Increased temperatures accelerate pest development, resulting in higher reproductive rates and more generations per year.
