Poster summary
- Exploring various kinds of materials in triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) research is still an exciting and expanding topic. This study represents a significant milestone in this path by adding phosphor material, specifically zinc vanadate (Zn3V2O8, ZVO), to TENG technology for the first time. TENG technology has been used for energy harvesting with ZVO, an active triboelectric material. To make the TENG device, we used a fabrication method that involved applying fine ZVO powder to an aluminum tape and removing the loosely bonded powder with an air gun coupled to a nitrogen gas cylinder. The manufactured TENG produces an output voltage of 515 V and a current of 178 µA, yielding an exceptional power density of 6.9 W/m². Furthermore, we demonstrate the feasibility of this breakthrough by powering 360 series-connected LEDs and electroluminescent devices with a single hand tap, as well as investigating ZVO's luminescence features.
