Share the sadness 2021-04-14

The review process used to be quite fast before, but now the editors probably want to enhance the influence and quality of the journal, so they have slowed down the review speed and raised the requirements for article quality a bit. Unfortunately, they received a warning from the Chinese Academy of Sciences because of the high self-citation rate and the withdrawal of many articles by Chinese authors in recent years.

Why was this magazine warned by the Chinese Academy of Sciences? I personally think my article is quite good, and the three reviewers were very diligent, providing 15 review comments. I carefully responded to all of them before it was accepted. I don't think it was that easy.
