Usually, editors do not take more than 2-3 days to reject a submission. If it takes longer, it could mean that they are reviewing it and preparing for external review. Typically, more than half of the submissions are directly rejected.

On 1.8, the editor made revisions. Reviewer 1 made minor revisions and Reviewer 2 confirmed the work, stating that it can be published after modifications. The editor gave a moderate revision, the first time seeing it.
Reviewer 1 confirmed the work and gave three suggestions for spelling errors (minor revisions), while Reviewer 2 said it can be published after modifications and gave seven suggestions. Among them, three suggestions were to change the figure, one was a spelling error, one was to add an error curve, and the other two were about unclear title description and an unclear sentence in the abstract.
On 1.10, I resubmitted with full firepower.

Supplementary materials are called e-components in this journal. I didn't upload the supplementary materials because I didn't understand the meaning of e-component and thought it was different from the previous journal I submitted to. However, the supplementary materials contained important data, which caused confusion for the reviewers. I hope my future colleagues who submit to this journal won't make such a basic mistake.

The manuscript was rejected upon initial submission, with the reason being that the research direction was not stable and aligned with the journal's theme. It was then transferred to SPT. The editor, Professor Shujuan Zhang from NJU, was very nice and provided prompt and timely feedback. The three reviewers were also very professional and their questions hit the mark, helping to improve the weaknesses in my paper. The research field is in electrocoagulation. (The impact factor of this journal has increased to over 9, and it has been classified as a Q1 journal, so it may become increasingly difficult to submit in the future.)
