Hello, I received a rejection letter yesterday, and the status in the system is "rejected". The rejection letter states, "If the first submission of your paper is rejected, you are allowed one (1) submission of a revised version of the manuscript, with a point-by-point Response to Reviewers document. If the second submission is rejected, we will not accept a third (3rd) submission. It will be given an Immediate Reject." Can I resubmit after rejection? Can I submit after making revisions? Hello! My current status is rejected. Too slow, it's been nearly 3 months and there's still no response from the first review.
I sent an email to inquire and they said it's because of the summer vacation, only one reviewer's comments have been received... All I can say is to be cautious about submitting during the summer vacation...
I have also helped review manuscripts for this journal and never procrastinated, but it seems that delaying in the future is not a big deal either.
