Submitted on 3.26, received review comments on 4.22. Currently, it feels quite fast.

It is relatively rare for five or six reviewers to accept the review. When I first submitted to this journal, I sent it to seven reviewers, but only three gave feedback. It is also possible that the decision was made with the opinions of the three editors and they didn't wait for others... Good luck!

AMFfree 2023-04-24

Generally, it takes 21 days, but reviewers can request an extension. If the reviewers' opinions are inconsistent, the editor may add additional reviewers, which will prolong the review process.

玲宝 2023-04-23

I will also contribute a timeline for everyone's reference:
2023.01.09 Submission
2023.01.~26 Under review
2023.03.02 Major review (two reviewers)
Request for one-week extension to submit revised manuscript
2023.03.21 Submission of revised manuscript
2023.03.26 Under review
2023.04.23 Accept
The process of revising was indeed challenging, but fortunately, everything turned out fine~~ Lastly, I wish everyone's articles to be successful and published.

相视朦胧中 2023-04-23

2023.1.27 submitted to journal
2023.2.10 under review (7 reviewers were assigned, 5 agreed to review)
2023.3.04 required reviewers completed
2023.3.05 major revision (3 major revisions, 2 minor revisions, editor allowed 21 days for major revisions)
2023.3.23 revision submitted to journal
2023.4.05 with editor (kept by the editorial office for two weeks, too slow)
2023.4.05 under review (sent back to 5 reviewers)
2023.4.11 required reviewers completed (received 2 sets of comments)
2023.4.16 required reviewers completed (received 3rd set)
2023.4.19 required reviewers completed (received 4th set)
2023.4.22 Accept (all 4 reviewers found the responses satisfactory, recommended acceptance)
In conclusion, Elsevier is indeed slow, and there are many reviewers. Everyone should be prepared for a three-month wait when submitting. Those who have experienced the agony of waiting here understand.

风飞扬 2023-04-23

Really speechless, the review process is so slow.

风飞扬 2023-04-23

I submitted it on November 27th last year and still haven't received any response. I went through two rounds of revisions. With this editor, each round takes 10 days. There were 6 reviewers in total: 4 major revisions, 1 acceptance, and 1 rejection. After the first round of revisions, 3 reviewers accepted it, the one who rejected it still rejected it, and 1 reviewer did not respond. After the second round of revisions, it was sent to two reviewers. One accepted it the next day, while the other is still taking their time. I guess it's the same reviewer who rejected it. The whole process took about 5 months, with a few days difference. One of the editors is from South Korea.

努力发paper呀 2023-04-22

Does the editor's statement in the email, "At least find one referee after the major revision, and then another reviewer," mean to go back and find another reviewer?

Sugar 2023-04-21

I did not submit it for second review, so it is relatively fast.

VALAK 2023-04-21

I asked my advisor for the tracking link and he told me that he knew about it but didn't show it to me... I would like to ask if there is a specific time frame for completing the review process after the CEJ reviewers accept the manuscript for review.

AMFfree 2023-04-21

After "under review," the corresponding author's email will receive a tracking email, which contains a link to see how many submissions are under review, as well as changes regarding acceptance and completion of the review. The delay in receiving the review may be a preference message, indicating that the reviewer does not have any difficulties, but also does not want to let you off easily, so they can only extend the deadline.

AMFfree 2023-04-21

Someone dragging the revised manuscript without reviewing it should be considered as a preference for news. The reviewer doesn't want to easily pass it to you, but there is nothing difficult for them to trouble you with. They can only delay it until the deadline, so just wait patiently.

AMFfree 2023-04-21

After "under review," the corresponding author's email will receive a tracking email that contains a link to view the number of manuscripts under review, as well as notifications of changes related to acceptance and completion of the review process.

Can you see the progress of the review yourself?

The first SCI article has been successfully accepted~ I will share the timeline. The editing efficiency was high, but the review process was a bit slow. Overall, it was still good. It took a little over two months from submission to acceptance.

ajkdajkld 2023-04-20

Your speed is good, but I returned the manuscript a month ago and still haven't received any news. There is a reviewer who keeps dragging it, and it's very annoying.

ajkdajkld 2023-04-20

Oh, the timeline is quite long.

睡一会儿 2023-04-20

It has been a whole 38 days, and I am still "with editor". It doesn't matter if they reject me, but dragging it out is really...

Seeb99 2023-04-19

I have been under review for 90 days now.

糖糖糖123456 2023-04-19

I submitted it on January 6th, and it is still under review now... It's really, really slow.

Shuang Wu 2023-04-19

Is it fast to submit a review paper to CEJ? Do I need to submit an extended abstract and recent academic achievements?

Sugar 2023-04-19

I will also contribute a timeline.

2023.2.16 submitted to journal
2023.2.18 with editor
2023.2.28 under review
2023.3.20 Required reviewers completed
2023.3.27 minor revision
2023.4.16 revision submitted to journal
2023.4.18 accept

Overall, apart from the submission being slightly slow, the overall speed is quite fast. Several reviewers have provided very good feedback!

"ELSEVIER's official WeChat paper tracking service, please check your email, there is a WeChat link inside."

相视朦胧中 2023-04-19

The editorial department is dragging, the editor is dragging, and the reviewers are dragging. There is not a single smooth process. It seriously affects the mood, and even after coming back, there may not be any results. The editor takes three weeks, while the reviewers take three weeks to drag. This is for revisions, really don't know what to say...

xiaolll 2023-04-19

The first reviewer has completed the review, so fast. I hope it is not a rejection.

xiaolll 2023-04-19

After submission, an editor will send an email to the corresponding author's mailbox, which contains a link. Opening the link will display a WeChat QR code. After scanning it, the information of the paper can be tracked, including the number of reviewers invited, the number of reviewers accepted, the number of completed reviews, etc. The status update will be automatically pushed in WeChat.

马弗炉炸鸡 2023-04-19

I have 52 days... It's so boring.

大写的zheng 2023-04-19

It has been 54 days and I haven't received any review comments yet. Isn't it too urgent? How long does it usually take for everyone to receive review comments?
