Just switched from a comprehensive journal to a new journal, not much requirement for innovation, cost-effective. One of our lab's submissions to AAC under ASM was rejected, so we resubmitted to this journal and it was accepted within a month. If you are in a hurry to graduate, you can submit to this journal, but if your work has highlights, it is still a loss as it lacks recognition. Currently, the sources of our manuscripts are mainly rejections from AAC, AEM, JVI, and then submitted here.
