Aims and Scope

The Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management reports on all phases of planning and management of water resources. The papers examine social, economic, environmental, and administrative concerns relating to the use and conservation of water. Social and environmental objectives in areas such as fish and wildlife management, water-based recreation, and wild and scenic river use are assessed. Developments in computer applications are discussed, as are ecological, cultural, and historical values.

It took 7 months. This journal has a low impact factor, but my manuscript reached the hands of experts. The comments provided were very good and professional. After major and minor revisions, it was accepted. The downside is that there was no news for several months after acceptance. I waited for a long time to start proofreading, and then there was no news for another 3 months. Overall, the review process was fair and professional, the journal quality is good, but the review speed is fast while the publishing speed is slow.

During my doctoral period, the first SCI paper left a very good impression on me. The reviewer was meticulous and raised significant questions that greatly improved the article. I am engaged in the monitoring of structural health of municipal facilities. The first review process took two months, followed by one month of revisions. The second review process took another two months and finally, it was accepted. The online publication took one month.
