Compared to other civil engineering journals, the speed of publication is considered above average, and its influence has been increasing year by year. The current Impact Factor (IF) has risen to 1.2. Due to possibly not being a very popular journal, the overall number of publications is low. However, if the number of submissions increases in the future, the influence should be able to increase rapidly. After all, the journal has a great name, "Structures and Buildings".

It is a SCI journal of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in the United Kingdom. The journal has strict quality control and the peer-review process is well-known. In the final production stage, the editors carefully proofread the articles.

The old SCI journal of the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK lacks business acumen and has consistently had a low impact factor. There are relatively few submissions from Chinese authors, and the review process needs improvement in terms of speed.
