Kelvin made important contributions in the mathematical analysis of electricity. He derived the analytical solutions for the attractive force between two charged spheres, and his findings were published in the "Philosophical Magazine". This journal was established in 1798 and is one of the earliest scientific journals. Physicists such as Faraday, Joule, and Maxwell published groundbreaking papers there. It was considered on par with the journal "Nature" at that time.
