Aims and Scope

JIMO is an international journal devoted to publishing peer-reviewed, high quality, original papers on the non-trivial interplay between numerical optimization methods and practically significant problems in industry or management so as to achieve superior design, planning and/or operation. Its objective is to promote collaboration between optimization specialists, industrial practitioners and management scientists so that important practical industrial and management problems can be addressed by the use of appropriate, recent advanced optimization techniques.

The initial review of the journal was quite slow. It took four months to receive feedback, and I had to follow up twice during that time. However, the subsequent two revisions were completed in about a month each. Overall, it went relatively smoothly. In the end, the journal requires the author to handle the LaTeX typesetting themselves and provide the corresponding source files. Now, all that's left is to wait. It seems that the process afterwards might be even slower, so all I can do is wait.

The review process was very fast. It took me two months. Although the Chinese Academy of Sciences issued a warning, this journal is still highly recognized by foreigners and selected as a high-quality journal in the ABS list. Another journal from a certain publisher had no warning, but it was canceled the following year. However, it is estimated that it will be canceled next year. It is not subpar.
