Aims and Scope

This Journal is devoted to the advancement of the science and technology of guidance, control, and dynamics through the dissemination of original archival papers disclosing significant technical knowledge, exploratory developments, design criteria, and applications in aeronautics, astronautics, celestial mechanics, and related fields. The Journal publishes qualified papers on dynamics, stability, guidance, control, navigation, optimization, electronics, avionics, and information processing related to aeronautical, astronautical, and marine systems. Papers are sought which demonstrate the application of recent research to practical engineering problems. Papers that describe aspects of the dynamics and control of significant recent developments, such as a new or different aircraft or spacecraft, also are desired.

Top journals in the field of navigation, guidance, and control. Based on the submission numbers over the past three years, the average number of submissions per year should be around 800. It takes about half a month for the submission to be sent for external review, and then about 4 and a half months to receive the first-round comments. Two months are given for revisions after which it takes around 20 days to receive acceptance notification. The whole process takes a total of 8 months. Compared to another top journal in this field, IEEE TAES, the review comments from JGCD are more professional. This is also why the quality and reputation of articles in JGCD are better than TAES.

May I ask if it is necessary for each author to fill out the co-author agreement form on the website for submitting articles to this journal? I am asking because we have older teachers who are not familiar with website operations.
