Aims and Scope

JOM is a technical journal devoted to exploring the many aspects of materials science and engineering. JOM reports scholarly work that explores the state-of-the-art processing, fabrication, design, and application of metals, ceramics, plastics, composites, and other materials. In pursuing this goal, JOM strives to balance the interests of the laboratory and the marketplace by reporting academic, industrial, and government-sponsored work from around the world.

A journal with a very fast review speed, the total time from submission to acceptance is 3 months, during which it also went through major revisions, additional experiments, and paper proofreading processes. This journal has a submission calendar, under which certain areas of submission are accepted within a specific period of time. Submissions not following the calendar will be directly rejected. Additionally, the total number of figures and tables in this journal should not exceed 8, and some additional figures need to be included in a separate supplementary material document.
