The manuscript I submitted was highly innovative, but the summary was not well-written. The first time I submitted, it was reviewed by three experts who thought it was poorly written. The editor was very nice and suggested withdrawing the submission, encouraging me to resubmit. It took me over a year (as I am an employee and worked on it during my free time) to revise the paper and submit it again. The same editor reviewed it again, and it was sent to two different experts for external review (not the same as the previous three). After a month, I received a major revision request. After difficult modifications, it was finally accepted for publication. The entire process was quite challenging but the experience was good. The fact that the editor is a Dr. is crucial to the impression they have of your article.
