Aims and Scope

Horticultural Plant Journal (HPJ) is an OPEN ACCESS international journal. HPJ publishes research related to all horticultural plants, including fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, tea plants, and medicinal plants, etc. The journal covers all aspects of horticultural crop sciences, including germplasm resources, genetics and breeding, tillage and cultivation, physiology and biochemistry, ecology, genomics, biotechnology, plant protection, postharvest processing, etc. Article types include Original research papers, Reviews, and Short communications.

I have submitted twice, and the reason for the first rejection was, "Thank you for your trust in our magazine! Currently, HPJ's acceptance criteria for manuscripts is no lower than IF5.0. Unfortunately, your manuscript did not pass the initial review. Please feel free to submit suitable manuscripts in the future!" They replied in Chinese, but I still don't understand what they mean. I emailed them for clarification, but they didn't respond. After the second submission (a different article), there was no reason given for the rejection, and they didn't respond to my email. I am truly frustrated.

Really awesome, the magazine was established just a few years ago, and this year it directly upgraded from Tier 3 to Tier 1. Unfortunately, its Impact Factor (IF) is only 4.2, making it the lowest-ranked Tier 1 journal in the field of plant science.
It can only be said that it is well-deserved as an SCI publication produced in our country. The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) really gives face to domestic journals. Now it is just starting to be open access, and it charges 10,000 RMB per article, which is still acceptable.
In the future, everyone will understand.
