Description

The 2024 Collaborations in Health Services Research grant opportunity is intended to support programs of small-scale, health service-focussed research projects that relate to the health system, conducted in a health service setting, by a collaboration of health services/research organisations. The strategic aim of this grant opportunity is to stimulate health services research to improve health outcomes by increasing collaboration and building research and translation capacity and competitiveness of the health services sector.

The objectives of this one-off grant opportunity are to provide financial assistance to support:

  1. Programs of small-scale research projects identified as important by health services and their communities to improve health care.
  2. Partnerships that foster collaboration between researchers, health service providers and end users, including consumers and community.

Funding will be available under two application streams:

  • Stream 1: Metropolitan-based (MM1)
  • Stream 2: Regional/rural/remote (RRR)-based (MM2-7)*

Applications from existing health care/research collaborations that include at least one research and one health service provider that have a proven track record in co-design and research that delivers health outcomes are encouraged. Applications that address health services and programs to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and/or regional, rural and remote communities are also encouraged.
