Eligibility

UK partners

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • are actively engaged in postdoctoral research
  • have either a doctorate or can show that you have equivalent research experience or training
  • have the level of skills, knowledge and experience appropriate for your proposed project
  • are a member of a recognised research organisation or have an offer of support (including use of facilities) from a recognised research organisation.

You must also comply with AHRC’s current eligibility criteria for standard and early career AHRC research grant proposals.

Luxembourg partners

You must be based at an eligible institution in Luxembourg. These include:

  • public research centres
  • University of Luxembourg
  • public bodies, departments and establishments which can support research in your chosen area.

Description

Apply for funding to work with researchers in Luxembourg on arts and humanities projects.

You must:

  • be based at a UK research organisation eligible for AHRC funding
  • partner with a team in Luxembourg approved by the FNR
  • have a doctorate or equal experience.

AHRC and FNR will jointly fund successful applications.

The full economic cost of the UK part of the project can be between £50,000 and £1 million. AHRC will fund 80% of the full economic cost. Luxembourg-based researchers can apply for funding for the full economic cost of their project.
