This study shows that teachers need professional development in online education. Teachers and students' preference for classroom education indicates that online education platforms needs to be improved.
What would be the perception of students in social sciences towards online learning? Further research is needed to explore the reasons for students' negative perceptions of online learning.
This article presents some rules to provide better learning through online conferences for organizers, presenters, and participants. These rules may be adapted to online conferences in different fields.
This study shows that laboratory practices in chemistry classes are negatively affected after transition to online teaching due to Covid-19. Labs move from being active and inquiry-based approach to passive and demonstration. It is clear that students suffer from this situation in terms of getting required lab skills.
While it is stated that attractiveness of the faculty and the student’s interest in the class give the highest positive relationship with student evaluations of teaching, it is noteworthy that this finding is discussed with the halo effect.
I was recommending my children to drink 100% fruit juice among the drinks because I thought it was healthy. But the positive association between fruit juice and cancer revealed by this study makes me think that I should review my behavior.
It is a success of the research that teachers, who were the experimenter, own the developed serious games used in the treatment groups and continue to use them. On the other hand, it made me wonder whether the same teachers showed the same degree of ownership of the teaching materials used in the comparison group. Could this be considered a matter of threat to internal validity, namely experimenter effect?
Sufficient discussion of PRISMA, AMSTAR and checklists for other research designs in master's and doctoral programs can also support improving the quality of articles.
An important study to raise awareness about the vegetarian diet in the community. This study changed my perception that the vegetarian diet is completely healthy.
This is a promosing result: 120 minutes for health. Although residential greenspace is controlled in the study, I am curious about what would be the result if a study compares responses of residents from villages and cities.
While discussing the results of the study, the authors point out the importance of treatment fidelity that is generally neglected in most research. In this context, it is well explained why there are different results in some active learning studies.
This funding is a good opportunity to establish a research network expected to trigger big projects. Multi-national and interdisciplinary nature of the network are some of the prerequisites for the application. Peeref members who are interested in and willing to participate such a research network may share their ideas here.
The artical is well documented the factors that negatively affected remote/online chemistry teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic in Rio de Janeiro state in Brazil. Similar challenges may have been seen in other countries. I think some of these difficulties may be solved by strengthening the technological infrastructure, such as expanding the broadcast range of television stations or supporting students with technological equipment like tablets. However, learning of laboratory skills or science experiments via video lessons is really a serious deficiency pedagogically. How can we solve this problem? Can augmented reality or similar applications be a solution in remote/online learning of laboratory classes? If anyone has such an application in his/her country, can share with us?
